The Brighton Food Cupboard is committed to the prevention and reduction of hunger and food insecurity for individuals and families living in Brighton and surrounding communities through the provision of whole person, client centered case management services.
The Brighton Food Cupboard is in need of donations year round. Keep in mind that the Brighton Food Cupboard serves 40-50 families per week, representing 500 individuals per month. Items should be standard packaging, not bulk or large containers. Items in highest need: breakfast cereal, pasta/noodles, paper products, tuna, canned fruits and vegetables, soup (either canned or dry mixes), and canned or powdered milk (small cans are preferred).
The Brighton Chamber has made special arrangements with Chamber member R's Market, 2294 Monroe Avenue as follows:
1. Go to R's Market no later than 12/9/13 and identify yourself as a Brighton Chamber Member
2. Tell them you would like to buy $25 worth of food/paper goods as a contribution for the Brighton Food Cupboard
3. Pay R's Market $25 and they will add an additional $5 worth of food/paper goods items to your order and place all of the items in a food bin
The Brighton Chamber deliver all of the items to the Brighton Food Cupboard.
Thanks very much to R's Market owners Jason and Sarah Myers for their generous help.
